The consult room

Prescribe in seconds.
Not minutes

Medicine names complete from your own catalogue. Save any regimen as a template and replay the whole prescription with one tap, or tick forward the lines you gave last visit. Diagnoses and complaints are chips you type, not a code list you hunt through. Or write the visit in your own shorthand and let the form fill itself, which is the add-on below.

1 tap
replays a saved regimen
Type it
in prose, and the form fills

Shorthand-to-form drafting and the in-app chat are an add-on, switched on per clinic. Describe the visit in your own words and the form fills; the chat says nothing back, because there is nothing to discuss. A draft is only ever a draft: it fills the fields you left empty, never overwrites one you typed, and you approve every line before it prints. Anything you left out stays blank, and approving refuses an incomplete prescription.

Follow-ups

One tap. The message
is already written

Every consultation that needs a review leaves a row on the follow-up list. Tap it and WhatsApp opens with the patient, the date and the wording ready to send. You press send; the desk logs what happened. No per-message fee, no API to sign up for, nothing sent behind your back.

  • The list builds itself from consultations, so nobody keeps a diary
  • Reached, or could not reach with a reason - a missed patient stays on the list until somebody gets them
  • The message never names a diagnosis or a medicine, only that it is time to come in

Billing and GST

A bill your CA
does not argue with

Tell Elaior once whether the clinic is unregistered, regular or composition. After that every bill prints itself correctly: a Receipt, a Tax Invoice with HSN and SAC columns, or a Bill of Supply with the composition declaration at the foot of it.

  • Consultations carry SAC 9993 and no tax, because exempt healthcare is exempt
  • Tax is stamped on the line when the bill is issued, so a reprint next year prints the rate it was issued with
  • Numbering restarts every financial year, per clinic, with no gaps - the database refuses a duplicate
  • A discount is spread across the lines before tax, so taxable plus tax always reconciles to the total
  • Only the admin can void a bill, only with a reason, and it reprints watermarked VOID
  • A refund is written as a negative payment, so a refunded fee stops counting as revenue

The day book

What came in.
What went out

One sheet per day: collected, refunded, paid out, and the net the clinic actually made. Split by what the money was for, net of refunds, so the buckets add up to the total rather than approximately to it. Pick any range up to a year and it becomes a read-only summary you can print.

Collected, refunds handed back, net
Money out
Rent, salary, supplies, electricity and the rest
Activity
Patients registered, consults done, bills issued and cancelled
Take it with you
Four CSVs: patients, visits, billing, expenses

No cash-drawer figure, deliberately. Elaior does not ask whether a payment was cash or UPI, so it will not print a number it cannot stand behind.

Records and the portal

The file follows
the patient home

Every visit, diagnosis, prescription, bill and uploaded report sits on one patient page, found by name or phone. The patient sees their own copy: they scan the clinic's QR code, sign in with their number and a four-digit PIN, and pull up their prescription on the bus home.

  • One QR for the whole clinic - nothing per-patient to print or reissue
  • Live token number and place in the queue, so nobody asks the desk again
  • Prescriptions and bills download as the same PDF the desk prints, not a second version of it
  • Draft prescriptions the doctor has not signed are never shown
  • A weak PIN is refused, a wrong one locks out for longer each time, and the desk reset signs every device out

4:08 PM · the counter fills the prescription
Pharmacy

The counter, and
the register behind it

An approved prescription arrives at the counter as a worklist. The pharmacist picks the oldest batch that has not expired, dispenses what is on the shelf, and the stock comes down as it goes out. If a brand is short, the same salt in another brand is offered rather than guessed at.

  • Your own catalogue, with stock received in batches and written off when it expires
  • Oldest-first picking, and a decrement the database itself guards so two counters cannot sell the same last strip
  • Partial dispense, pharmacist substitution and close-no-sale, because a counter is not a happy path
  • Walk-in counter sales, with the Schedule H and H1 gates in the way
  • The Schedule H1 register drawn as the statutory document a drug inspector asks for
  • Nothing opens without a drug licence and a registered pharmacist on file

An add-on, switched on per clinic. ₹999 / mo.

Let it read the paperwork, ₹399 / mo more. Photograph a distributor’s bill and the purchase fills itself: line items, batches, expiry dates, MRP and cost. Drop in the price list they emailed and it fills the catalogue, salts and all. Nothing is saved until you have read it.

The rest of it

One system.
Everything the desk touches

Included in the plan, not an upsell each.

QT

Queue and tokens

Walk-ins and booked patients on one board, with token numbers, holds, skips and a critical flag. Every move is server-checked.

AP

Appointments

Booked ahead by day, checked in at the desk, rescheduled in place or cancelled without losing the record.

WR

Waiting-room display

A screen on the wall showing token numbers and who is next. Its own login, so a public screen is never a signed-in staff session.

FM

Forms and certificates

Consent forms, medical certificates and referral slips. What you print is also filed to the patient, as the same PDF.

DV

Clinic documents

The clinic's own paperwork: licences, registrations, insurance, contracts. Expiry dates drive the renewal badges.

RL

Roles that fit a clinic

Admin, doctor, front desk and the display screen. Each sees the screens their job needs and nothing else.

6:30 PM · the day closes, the record does not
The audit trail

Who did what.
And who opened which record

Around a hundred kinds of event, each written as a plain English sentence: who, what, when, from which address. Reading a record counts as an event, so opening a patient's history or downloading a prescription leaves a line of its own. So does a refusal - a denied action or a request against another clinic's data - because what an intrusion looks like is a run of things that did not work.

Being straight about the edges: list views, searches and the queue board are not audited. One named record, opened or changed, is the unit. And the trail cannot be edited or deleted by anything in the application, because the database itself refuses the update.
