Clinic software in India, with every price sourced and dated

By Abhishek Dogra, Founder, ElaiorLast verified

If you run an outpatient clinic with 1 to 4 doctors, the lowest published price in this comparison is Healcon Practice at Rs 399 a month, though Healcon publishes only a starting figure and its plan comparison page now redirects to its home page. The lowest price published with the plan detail beside it is Practo Ray CM Atom at Rs 999 a month on a 1 year term. If the pain is the prescription pad rather than the front desk, HealthPlix at Rs 11,999 a year is the better answer. Elaior, which publishes this page, comes fourth on fit.

Every competitor figure here was read off the vendor's own page on 10 September 2026. Nothing is a range, an estimate, a marketplace listing or a figure converted from another currency. Five vendors an Indian clinic will shortlist publish no price at all, and that is printed as a row rather than filled in with a guess. The Elaior rows were checked against this product's own source code on 11 September 2026, and those files are named in the source list.

The ranking, on fit for a small OPD clinic

  1. Practo Ray. Rs 999 a month for CM Atom on a 1 year term, the lowest price here that is published with the plan detail beside it. Both Ray plans list Practo.com integration on Practo's own plans page. CM Atom caps the clinic at 50 doctors, which a practice this size will never reach.
  2. HealthPlix. Rs 11,999 a year for Pro. The better answer when the doctor's complaint is writing prescriptions: HealthPlix advertises prescription writing in 14 regional languages and says it is trusted by more than 14,000 doctors.
  3. Healcon Practice at Rs 399 a month, or Genamet Professional at Rs 900 a month, for a single doctor counting every rupee. Genamet's entry plan allows only 2 staff logins, so check that before signing, and Healcon no longer publishes any per tier detail at all.
  4. Elaior at Rs 1,499 a month per clinic. The better fit when the pain is the token queue, the wall board and the day end count rather than the prescription. It also has no paying customers, which is set out plainly below.
  5. Clinicea. The better answer for a multi branch or specialty practice that wants customisable EMR forms and can absorb per practitioner pricing.
  6. Bahmni. The better answer for a clinic with technical help that wants no licence fee and full control of its own data.

Read the two tables together. Practo Ray CM Atom with Connect 1000 is Rs 999 plus Rs 1499, so Rs 2,498 a month. Three doctors on Clinicea Starter with the patient portal is Rs 5,997 plus Rs 3,999, so Rs 9,996 a month. Elaior with three doctors and the pharmacy counter is Rs 1,499 plus two extra doctors at Rs 399 plus Rs 999, so Rs 3,296 a month. Compare the totals you will actually pay, not the home page numbers.

The five that publish no price

None of that makes them bad software, and none of it means the quote will be a high one. What it does mean is that you cannot compare them on price before the call, and that whatever figure you are given is not one anybody else can check against a published page. Ask for the price per doctor per month in writing, ask what is an add on rather than included, and ask what the figure becomes at renewal.

Why the pages ranking above this one cannot be checked

Where Elaior sits, and where it does not

Elaior is ours, so the case against it first. It has no paying customers today. The registry record for elaior.com shows a creation date of 3 January 2026, which makes it about eight months old, and its site publishes no customer count, no reviews and no case studies. Against Practo, HealthPlix and Clinicea it has no track record to offer at all. If your first requirement is a vendor that has been answering support calls for a decade, buy one of those and stop reading here.

What it is built for is the front of the clinic on a busy morning: a token queue carrying walk ins and booked patients together with holds, skips and a critical flag, a wall screen showing token numbers and who is next, a day book covering collected, refunded, paid out and net for the day end count, a patient portal reached with a phone number and a four digit PIN where a weak PIN is refused and a wrong one locks out for longer each time, a follow up list that opens WhatsApp with the patient, date and wording already written, four CSV exports covering patients, visits, billing and expenses, and a monthly workbook for the clinic's accountant. There is also an audit trail in which opening one named record, a printed prescription, an invoice or an attachment, is itself a logged event, while list views, searches and the queue board deliberately record nothing. The pharmacy counter is a paid add on rather than part of the base price. Every one of those claims is cited below to the file that implements it, which is the one check no roundup can run on anybody else.

The route with no licence fee

Bahmni appears in neither of the two vendor published roundups ranking above this page, which tells you something about who writes them. It releases its new components under AGPL 3.0, states no licence fee, is free to download, and says it is used in over 50 countries. The cost is real but it sits somewhere else: hosting, an implementation partner, and somebody who can keep it running, instead of a subscription. For a clinic with technical help that wants to hold its own data, that is a real option, and it belongs on this list even though we sell a subscription.
